The Ninth Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Unity Breakfast at MSJC Inspired Guests

The Jan. 19, 2015 event drew a large crowd to MSJC’s San Jacinto Campus

Guests were moved by student artwork and inspired by the keynote speaker during the 9th annual MLK Day Unity Breakfast held Jan. 19, 2015 at Mt. San Jacinto College.

MSJC student Cindy Wu won a Student Art Contest during the event with her work titled "The Colour of Love. Sharron Lewis, Vice President Riverside Chapter of NAACP, inspired those who attended with her address.

The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored each year by the MSJC Diversity Committee and held at the San Jacinto Campus. This year’s breakfast focused on the theme “The 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: Promise Unfulfilled?

In addition to the guest speaker and art contest, the event featured a full breakfast, presentations on the theme of the day and a gospel choir.

The MSJC Diversity Committee expressed a special "thank you" to the MSJC Foundation and Board of Directors for their continued support.
