Trig-Star math competition at MSJC

Mt. San Jacinto College's Career & Technical Education (CTE) is partnering with the California Land Surveyor's Association and the County of Riverside Transportation Department, Survey Division, to bring the second annual Trig-Star event to the San Jacinto Campus, located at 1499 N. State Street in San Jacinto, CA, 92583, on Saturday, March 17, 2012, from 9:00am – 1:00pm, in the cafeteria.
Trig-Star is a high school math competition highlighting careers in Engineering, Surveying and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). High school students from Riverside and San Bernardino counties are encouraged to compete. Cash prizes will be awarded for highest scores and students who participate have the opportunity to apply for a $5000 scholarship during their senior year.
Resources and fun hands-on activities will be set up outside the cafeteria. Cal Baptist University, Cal Poly Pomona and firms such as ESRI will also be participating.
