UC announces transfer application extension
December 2, 2015
University of California announced Wednesday that it has extended the 2016 transfer application deadline to give students who wish to transfer to a UC more time to apply. Students now have until January 4, 2016 to complete an application. This extended deadline is open solely for transfer students.
UC research shows that students who transfer to University of California schools do as well as, if not better than, students who entered a UC campus as a freshman. UC enrolls more California community college students than any other similar institution and two out of three transfer students who apply broadly to UC are accepted.
"Among other benefits, applying to a UC campus will provide students with a better opportunity to learn about the number of generous financial aid packages and programs available to help invest in their future," said California Community Colleges Chancellor Brice W. Harris in a letter dated December 2, 2015.
