Services
The LRC at the Menifee Campus offers both peer and faculty tutoring in mathematics, the sciences, writing, Spanish, music, economics, history and many other subject areas.
Tutors are avaliable to students during all open hours on a walk-in basis.
Testing
Testing services are available to current MSJC students who must take exams outside of the classroom setting for MSJC courses. Tests are monitored and timed, if necessary, and returned to the appropriate instructor or department. Students must present a picture ID to utilize testing services. Proctoring Services
Proctored testing for other colleges and universities is available by appointment from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday for a fee of $50.00 per exam. Please contact Albert Jimenez (ajimenez@msjc.edu) at least one week in advance to schedule. **Note that some requests cannot be accomodated due to scheduling limitations and the MSJC calendar. Please plan at least 3 weeks ahead of your deadline!**
Computer Usage
Over 50 computers are accessible for student use during hours that the Center is open. No appointment is necessary. Microsoft Office suite as well as other programs and internet access is available.
Tutoring Employment Opportunities
MSJC students interested in tutoring at the Menifee Campus should contact the Tutorial Service Specialist at (951) 639-5481. Students hired as paid tutors must have received an A or B in any subject in which they plan to tutor. In addition, they must be enrolled at MSJC with at least 6 semester units, provide recommendations from MSJC instructors, and have successfully completed the tutor training class (TA 80) which is offered each semester.
