Regenerative Systems Education at MSJC

We cannot predict the future, but we can create it.

The world is changing fast, and the choices we make now will define the world we leave to the next generation.

At Mt. San Jacinto College, we believe education should not only prepare people for careers, it should prepare them to create the future.

That's why we're building Regenerative Systems Education — an ambitious, hands-on model that blends systems thinking, ecological literacy, and regenerative agriculture with the power of community.

This is an invitation to co-create MSJC innovation hubs applying regenerative approaches across disciplines for economic, ecological, and community resilience.

global crises

We are living through what's called a global polycrisis: a cascade of ecological, economic, and social challenges that are deeply interconnected.

If you've felt the disconnection — from nature, from each other, from purpose — you already understand why this matters. If you've ever thought there must be another way, you're right.

The next generation is asking for a future worth inheriting. Our role is to give them the tools, spaces, and experiences to build it.

Across our campuses, we are creating living laboratories for innovation — places where students, faculty, and community members work side by side to solve real problems and design for resilience.

Hands-On, Real-World Learning

  • Demonstration farms producing food, restoring biodiversity, and serving as community classrooms without walls
  • Innovation incubators and maker spaces where ideas move from concept to prototype
  • State-of-the-art kitchens exploring the intersection of food, health, and sustainability
  • Community gathering spaces for workshops, seed swaps, tastings, tours, and shared meals

  • Rooted in Riverside County and responsive to its needs
  • Known for inclusive, hands-on, and adaptive learning
  • Positioned to bridge education, industry, and community for real-world impact
  • Equipped with the infrastructure and expertise to lead in regenerative education

When we succeed here, other colleges and communities can follow our model. Together, we can multiply impact far beyond our own region.
