The Power to Amplify: Waking Up from Digital Seizures to Elevate Your Life and the Lives of Others

Jeff Dockendorf helps listeners recognize the unique challenges of today's digital world. He notes that the rise of smartphones and social media immerses millions, creating difficulties even for self-disciplined individuals. Dockendorf highlights that this digital deluge contributes to skyrocketing rates of depression and anxiety among youth, fueled by comparison and the fear of missing out (FOMO). People spend countless daily hours scrolling and gaming—time previously dedicated to healthy activities like face-to-face interaction, outdoor time, and reading. Dockendorf stresses that everyone possesses a life they can and should amplify, urging audiences to recognize the critical role technology plays in that pursuit, for better or for worse.

Jeff Dockendorf is a dedicated family man, celebrating 20 years of marriage with his wife and six wonderful children. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a Spanish major and a business minor. That same year, he relocated his family to Southern California, launching his career with Synergy Companies.
