Shannon Wingfield

What does it mean to be a non-federally recognized Native American in a society where our Nation has prove our lineage to a government who took away our land to be recognized. Serving my tribe as part of my identity in hopes of bringing something greater to my Nation.
Shannon Wingfield, a California native, is a dedicated member of the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians Acjachemen Nation Tribal Council. Currently serving as Tribal Council Secretary, and formerly as Councilmember at Large.
Shannon's career includes leadership positions in prominent organizations, such as Starbucks and Synchrony Financial. she has honed her skills as a a television news reporter, producer and school teacher.
Shannon also founded the Three Feathers Native American Marketing Agency, which supports Native American businesses by fostering strategic partnerships and enhancing visibility. Recognized for exceptional leadership, Shannon has earned multiple accolades, including Starbucks' Store Manager of the Quarter and the Synchrony Diversity Networks Caring Award.
With a BA in Communication/Journalism, Graduate work in education and is currently perusing a law degree in Indigenous Peoples law.
