Superintendent/President

On Wednesday, March 26, Mt. San Jacinto College hosted the President's Leadership Academy 2.0, a professional development workshop led by Dr. Pamila Fisher. This one-day session reunited participants from the previous seven academy cohorts to strengthen leadership skills and foster continued connection.

From March 12 to 15, Dr. Roger Schultz attended the Community College League of California (CCLC) CEO Symposium, where he also led the statewide CEO meeting.

In March, Dr. Schultz joined fellow community college leaders at the California Community Colleges Board of Governors meeting to advocate for fully funded student enrollments and consistent annual cost-of-living adjustments (COLA) across the system.

Executive Cabinet

On Thursday, March 27, the Executive Leadership Team participated in a full-day workshop centered on professional growth, strategic planning, and team development. Key topics included communication, collaboration, and best practices in higher education leadership.

In pursuit of innovative teaching strategies, Dr. Schultz, Vice President of Instruction, Dr. Jeremy Brown, and Dean of Instruction Marc Donnhauser toured Dreamscape Learn's headquarters in Culver City. The visit provided an in-depth look at immersive virtual and 2D learning experiences that support STEM education.

Board of Trustees

Trustees Calvin Smith and Brian Sylva, along with MSJC staff, attended the Riverside County State of Education Address on March 5. The event, hosted by County Superintendent Dr. Edwin Gomez, showcased countywide K-12 initiatives and student success stories.

On March 20, Trustee Smith and college staff took part in the inaugural Hemet Regional Economic Summit. The event brought together local leaders to discuss economic development strategies, emerging trends, and regional challenges impacting the Hemet Valley and surrounding areas.

The Board of Trustees held a retreat on Friday, March 28, focused on collaborative planning, team building, and goal-setting to guide the college's future strategic direction.
