1/25/2023

Mt. San Jacinto College’s Council of Black Leaders Achieving Change, Umoja, A2Mend, Ujima and Sankofa invite the community to attend “A Day Celebrating the Life and Service of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” on Friday, January 27 from 11 AM to 1 PM on the San Jacinto Campus Theater. The informative and inspiring annual event honors the history and achievements of Dr. King’s vital work on racial equity.

The program will relive the impact of the Civil Rights Movement through dance, music, and a keynote address by Brian Hawkins, councilmember, City of San Jacinto, ordained minister, and social justice advocate.

The event begins with a celebration of life from 11 AM to noon, followed by a tribute to Dr. King’s service from noon to 1 PM. The public is invited to join the MSJC community at this free and engaging celebration on the MSJC San Jacinto Campus, Theater (Bldg. 1500), 1499 N. State Street.
