MSJC’s Public Information & Marketing Office Earns Three First Place Awards in Local Advertising Competition

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) took home three top honors for marketing and advertising on March 10 during the annual American Advertising Awards Celebration hosted by the Inland Empire Advertising Club. 

Karin Marriott, Director, Public Information, Marketing & Strategic Communications, accepted the awards on behalf MSJC and her team. “We are extremely honored to earn these prestigious awards and be recognized by the ADDY's for our work and contributions to MSJC and our students,” Marriott said.    

The ADDY’s is the Inland Empire Advertising Club’s largest creative competition, which recognizes individuals and students across various advertising disciplines who support the creation, execution and delivery of exemplary creative work in the advertising industry.

“With over 200 categories covering all aspects of advertising, the American Advertising Awards Inland Empire competition is the first step towards the illustrious Gold ADDY,” Michael Berger, Inland Empire Chapter president, said.   

MSJC earned first place for each entry submitted in the professional competition:   

  • 2021-22 Annual Report - Sales & Marketing Collateral Material  
  • Culinary Arts promotional video - Film, video, & Sound – Branded Content & Entertainment  
  • 2022 Graduate - Elements of Advertising, Visual, Still Photography  

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local competitions such the one held in the Inland Empire. There are two competitions, one for professionals and one for students. Winners in local competitions may advance to one of 15 district competitions and then compete in the National Finals.
