MSJC Nursing Program Partners With Ohio University

March 17, 2019

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) has signed an articulation agreement with Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions – the university’s first such agreement in Southern California. The agreement creates a pathway for MSJC nursing graduates to enroll in Ohio University through the online RN to BSN program.

“We are proud to have Mt. San Jacinto College as a partner. They do a wonderful job in preparing registered nurses and we are happy to be able to bring the next level of nursing education to their graduates,” said College of Health Sciences and Professions Dean Randy Leite.

Ohio’s School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The RN to BSN program is ranked first in Ohio and seventh in the nation in terms of affordability. The School of Nursing is the most popular of its kind in Ohio and fifth most popular in the country, according to College Factual, Great Value Colleges and Nurse.org.

Mt. San Jacinto College’s Associate Degree Nursing Program is accredited by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). For 2017-2018, the school’s ADN program had a NCLEX-RN pass rate of more than 97 percent. The nursing program also earned a 2018 Silver Star from the annual California Strong Workforce Stars program that recognizes excellence in student outcomes in Career Education.

A general education guide and RN to BSN guide are available to help facilitate educational requirements for students.

“MSJC is honored to partner with Ohio University,” said Crystal Nasio, Associate Dean of Nursing and Allied Health at Mt. San Jacinto College. “The reputation of their BSN program and the level of student support given to the students is outstanding. We know that this online option is affordable and flexible for the graduates.”
