Join Mt. San Jacinto College for National Apprenticeship Week Activities

The public is welcome to attend National Apprenticeship Week at Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) beginning November 13. The week will offer workshops, trade fairs and recruitment events for anyone interested in earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship programs that train participants for good-paying careers.  

“Our apprenticeship programs and partnerships combine paid, on-the-job training with relevant instruction that can prepare anyone for solid jobs in good-paying careers ranging from automotive technology to viticulture,” said Tonya Burke, Director of Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning. "This inaugural Apprenticeship Week underscores our commitment to connecting students with local employers and industry partners to create tailored educational experiences that meet the needs of our regional economy."

Apprenticeship Week kicks off November 13 with a Construction Trades Fair at the Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Road in Menifee from 10 AM to noon. Other events include:

The Apprenticeship Connection Summit, a groundbreaking event designed to bring together essential partners from across the region, will explore strategies and collaborations to expand apprenticeships for industries of the future. All events are free and open to the public. Guests can register online or contact awbl@msjc.edu.  

MSJC, in partnership with the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network, currently offers apprenticeship programs in accounting, automotive technology, cybersecurity technicians, EMT/paramedics, nursing, teacher education, water treatment technician, and viticulture. Other Career Education programs include administration of justice, allied health, aviation science, business administration, real estate, golf course/turf management, and more. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship counted almost 600,000 active apprentices in nearly 27,000 registered apprenticeship programs in 2022.
