Fall 2026 CSU Transfer Application Timeline

Submit your 2026/2027
FAFSA or California Dream Act Application
- Students must provide 2024 tax information.
- Students should list all institutions to which they are applying in order to receive estimated financial aid offers. These can be viewed prior to acceptance
Note: March 2nd is the priority deadline and the deadline to be considered for Cal Grants
- Shortly after applying, each university will send an email with instructions on how to create a student account and access the university portal.
- Check your email and student portals regularly for important dates and next steps, as timelines and requirements vary by university.
- The application update will open in early January and must be completed by January 31.
- Enter your Fall 2025 grades and update Spring 2026 courses.
- If you signed up for a CVC course for the Spring 2026 semester, you must first add the college, then list the course as in progress.
- Update any previous terms, if applicable, including academic renewal or repeated D/F grades completed in Fall 2025.
- Complete any required supplemental applications.
Note: Some campuses, such as CSULB and SJSU, require an additional supplemental application. Deadlines vary by campus, and students will receive instructions by email.
- Some campuses may send decisions earlier or later.
- Check your email and CSU portals regularly for admission decisions and application status.
- Admission deadlines vary by campus (most CSUs by May 1; some campuses have June 1 or extended deadlines).
- Accept your offer of admission and pay the enrollment deposit, if required, to confirm your enrollment.
- Monitor your campus portal and complete all required next steps, including transcript deadlines, financial aid forms, orientation registration, and housing applications.
- When requested by each CSU, order official transcripts from all colleges attended.
- To order Mt. San Jacinto College transcripts electronically, create an account with Parchment.
- Students may also request MSJC transcipts by completing a Student Records Request form and uploading it to Enrollment Services Secure Document Upload.
- CSUs may request initial transcripts with deadlines occurring throughout January–June.
- Final official transcripts will be submitted after the Spring 2026 semester. Be sure to include any AP, IB, or CLEP scores, if applicable.
Note: If you have CSU GE or IGETC certification, you must indicate this when ordering transcripts by selecting the appropriate option in Parchment and including the certification on the Student Records Request Form.
- Students who inidicate they are receiving an ADT degree within the CSU application will automatically trigger Mt. San Jacinto to verify the ADT.
- You can check the status of your ADT verification by loggin into your CSU application and selecting the "Check Status" tab at the top right of the page.
- Mt San Jacinto College will need a graduation application on file. In your final semester, please log in to your self-service account. On the main page at the bottom left, select Graduation Overview, and submit your graduation application as soon as possible.
Important Note:
Students who completed a CVC course during the Fall or Winter term, or who are currently enrolled in a CVC course for
Spring, should complete a graduation application. Please complete the Application for AA/AS Degree form and upload it to Enrollment Services Secure Document Upload. Select Petitions/Appeals from the dropdown options. You MUST include the transcripts showing the course(s) you took through CVC in the upload.
