First Year Experience


First Year? We’ve Got Your Back.

The MSJC First Year Experience (FYE) Program is designed to make sure you have a smooth transition into college life. We’ll provide you with extra support during your first two semesters so you can successfully complete your basic skills coursework and transferable college-level courses that contribute to your degree. FYE will help you to achieve your educational dreams.

Spring 2018 FYE Checklist:  Do you need a Spring FYE requirements checklist?  FYE Checklist-SPR2018.pdfFYE Checklist-SPR2018.pdf.  Students who successfully complete the FYE Checklist-SPR2018.pdfFYE Checklist-SPR2018.pdf will be eligible for the $200 FYE Book Grant that may be applied to the purchase of textbooks for the Fall 2018 semester.


FYE for the 2107 school year is currently closed.  Are you graduating high school next year or returning to school in Fall 2018?  Students who are interested in FYE for school year 2018 should attend the FYE Summer Bridge and fill out the FYE Participation Request Form: FYE - Participation Request Form​  Then make an appointment with an FYE Counselor:
