FAQ | How do I update my program of study?

Students can update their educational goal and program of study (major) in Self-Service at any time until an educational plan is completed with a counselor.  Please meet with a counselor if you have questions. 

Follow these steps below: 

  1. Log in to Self-Service at login.msjc.edu 

  2. Select Self-Service

  3. On the left-hand menu select Academics

  4. Select Student Planning

  5. Select Program Update

    click on Program Update

  6. Select your Educational Goal then select the Program of Study

    click on Program of Study

  7. Review information and Click on your choice of intended major/program of study

    select an option

  8. Select the Authorization check boxes then click Submit Request

    check authorizations and submit

Be sure to review each step until you see the confirmation message: Program Update is complete.
