MSJC and HCN Bank Announce Historic Stadium Naming Rights Sponsorship

10/4/2023

Mt. San Jacinto College District (MSJC), the MSJC Foundation, and HCN Bank announced a historic $1 million naming rights and sponsorship agreement that names MSJC’s new stadium at its Menifee Valley Campus “HCN Bank Stadium.”

The naming rights and sponsorship agreement is the largest and the first of its kind in MSJC history. The 10-year agreement builds upon a decades-long relationship between the MSJC and HCN Bank, which has continually supported students, scholarships, and activities at MSJC.

HCN Bank Stadium

The 5,000-seat HCN Bank Stadium is the jewel in the crown of MSJC’s new Athletics & Kinesiology Complex. The stadium, which opened to rave reviews in early September, serves as the home field to the MSJC Eagles football and women’s soccer teams. It also features a cutting-edge fitness center, athletic training facilities for injury treatment and rehabilitation, and classroom space for the College’s Kinesiology Program, all in a state-of-the-art environment.

For the regional community, HCN Bank Stadium will serve as a hub for a wide range of athletic events, community gatherings, concerts, and student engagement activities. For major concerts and special community events, the stadium has the capacity to accommodate more than 20,000 people.

The funding by HCN Bank represents a significant investment in the future of the college district, its students, and the people of southwestern Riverside County. It also highlights the Bank’s pivotal and growing role in the development of the skilled workforce needed to support the fast-growing Southwestern Riverside County economy.

“HCN Bank is honored to be associated with Mt. San Jacinto College through the naming rights and sponsorship of their new stadium, an investment that represents the pinnacle of our long-standing relationship,” said Kevin Farrenkopf, President/CEO of HCN Bank. “As a community-focused institution, we firmly believe in the power of education to uplift individuals and communities. We are thrilled to contribute to the success of MSJC’s students by supporting what will soon become the premier site for community events for the entire region in addition to serving as the home to the MSJC Eagles Athletics program.”

As part of the agreement, HCN Bank will collaborate with MSJC to empower students through financial literacy workshops, scholarship opportunities, and career development support.

“We are thrilled to partner with HCN Bank, an organization that shares our values and commitment to education and community needs,” said Dr. Roger Schultz, Superintendent/President of MSJC. “Their investment in our new stadium will provide our students and residents throughout the Southwest Riverside County region with an exceptional facility and foster a sense of pride and unity within our community. We look forward to working together with HCN Bank to expand educational opportunities and empower our students to achieve their full potential.”

The partnership between HCN Bank and MSJC reflects the shared vision of both organizations as they strive to create an environment that nurtures growth, fosters excellence, and supports the aspirations of students and the community at large.

HCN Bank, formerly known as The Bank of Hemet, has been serving the region for 49 years. The bank changed its name this year to represent its deep roots as a community bank in the Hemet and San Jacinto region and to reflect its nationwide growth as a bank with a limitless marketplace.
