Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) is proud to announce that its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation, marking the first time the program has received this level of support aimed directly at reducing student financial burdens.
Nearly 30 single mothers and single fathers from low-income families received gifts recently for their children during a holiday celebration hosted by the Mt. San Jacinto College Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) Program.
About 25 participants decided to spend the night in their cars. They equipped themselves with multiple layers of clothing and blankets as temperatures dipped to 44 degrees.
The agreement will provide qualified MSJC students with seamless access to the School of Nursing's Registered Nursing to Bachelor of Science program so they can achieve their educational goals at the private, world-renowned institution.
