Teacher Education and Developmental Studies

The Teacher Education and Developmental Studies (TEDS) Department is committed to being a leader and partner in preparing our community of diverse learners to become competent, caring, and reflective educators and professionals who will advocate for and empower children and families in the 21st century. Our certificate and degree programs offer both practical foundation and on-site training for students interested in working with children from infancy to adolescence.

Low Cost – High Quality: 
You deserve a great return on your educational investment, and we deliver degrees and certificates at a low-cost tuition and a zero-cost textbook and material fee.  Our programs are also linked to educational grants to support students while taking our fieldwork courses and/or working in the field.  

Flexibility You Need: 
TEDS offers a variety of course options to fit your needs.  We provide classes at our San Jacinto Campus, Menifee Valley Campus and Temecula Valley Campus.  Additionally, courses can be taken fully online or face-to-face during the day and/or evening.  Our core classrooms on each campus are filled with materials and equipment.

Our TEDS faculty work in the industries where you work and are committed to your success.  In fact, our courses have an 80% success rate, are designed to be competency-based, offer hands-on practical strategies you can apply right away, and enhance your skills to help you advance your career.

Career Opportunities:  
There are many career opportunities for students who are invested in becoming professionals who work with children and families.  You can learn more about the various careers in which our programs will prepare you for success.  In California, career opportunities for our programs are expected to grow 8.7% from 2022 to 2032.
