Practicum Students

Do you have a passion for working with college students?

MSJC's Student Health Center is committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities to trainees and interns in order to contribute to the fields they represent, to build community capacity and encourage learning within the organization.

Every year, the MSJC Student Health Center's Traineeship Program accepts Master of Social Work Interns, Marriage and Family Therapy Trainees, and Professional Clinical Counseling Trainees from numerous universities nationwide. Interns and trainees are selected to participate in our counseling programs. REACH specializes in sexual & domestic violence, childhood trauma and abuse, and human trafficking.

Clinical interns and trainees receive one hour of supervision for every five hours of client contact per week as well as a myriad of clinical trainings. Trainings offered include Clinical Orientation, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Clinical Documentation, Trauma-Informed Care, Crisis Support, and Suicide Prevention.
