Fall 2026 UC Transfer Application Timeline

UC TAP (TAG Application)

You might qualify for guaranteed admission to a UC campus! Explore Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) requirements on each UC website and attend a TAG workshop and for details.

UC Apply for Fall 2026

 

  • Attend UC application and PIQ workshops and use step-by-step videos to get started.
  • The UC application opens on August 1st so students can get a head start on filling out the application. The application opens for submission October 1st- December 1st.
  • Work on your personal insight responses.
  • Complete your application and visit the Transfer Center in our virtual lobby to ask any questions before you submit.

Submit your 2026-2027

FAFSA or California Dream Act Application 

 

  • Students must provide 2024 tax information.
  • Students should list all institutions to which they are applying in order to receive estimated financial aid offers. These can be viewed prior to acceptance 

Note: March 2nd is the priority deadline and the deadline to be considered for Cal Grants

 

  • Shortly after applying, each university will send an email with instructions on how to create a student account and access the university portal.
  • Check your email and student portals regularly for important dates and next steps, as timelines and requirements vary by university.

UC Application Login

  • The Transfer Academic Update (TAU) opens in mid-December and must be submitted by January 31.
  • Log in to your UC application to report your Fall 2025 final grades and update your Winter and Spring 2026 coursework if any changes were made to your schedule.

 

  • Check your email and UC portals for admission decisions and application status 
  • Acceptance deadlines may vary
  • Submit the Statement of Intent to Register/Enroll and pay the deposit (if required) to secure your spot
  • Be sure to meet all deadlines for transcripts, financial aid, orientation, registration, and housing applications

Note: If you have IGETC certification, you must indicate this when ordering transcripts by selecting the appropriate option in Parchment and including the certification on the Student Records Request Form.
